Alberta labour code changes are “progressive”

Dear Editor,
Re: Alberta labour code changes draw criticism, Journal of Commerce, June 9, 2008.
I think this is a progressive move to enable our country to continue to be able to compete globally. I own a mechanical contracting business in Ontario and have been in the refrigeration union for 22 years.

The spread from union and non-union wages is about to force me out of business.

I have seen the unions bully non-union shops around and try to force them into the union by setting up moles in non-union companies and swing a vote.

Once you are in, they will not let you out. Ever.

How is that a free society?
