Infrastructure Solutions Project aims for better planning and management

Better planned and managed infrastructure is the goal of the Infrastructure Solutions Project established in an agreement between the federal government and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

The CSA will provide solutions to infrastructure challenges through the development of a best practices guides, as well as new standards and training modules for the practitioners responsible for infrastructure.

The initiative will provide municipalities with additional expert knowledge and advice in developing and managing the strongest, safest and best infrastructure possible. The federal government is providing $1.5 million for the first two years.

CSA will co-ordinate volunteer experts to develop these tools for municipalities which reflect the issues and concerns of today’s infrastructure planners and managers.
